Hi, I'm Heather Dunn.  

My passion for writing was sparked at a young age and I remain as passionate about writing now as I was then. I believe words are one of the most powerful forms of communication and an ideal way to differentiate yourself.

I received my BA in English from the University of California Santa Barbara and then began my professional career as an advertising copywriter. DunnWrite was founded in 2015 as a freelance writing and tutoring business. 

After raising my two children and guiding them and many of their friends through the college application process, my mission became clear -- helping students craft personal and compelling essays that stand out to admission teams and maximize their chances of getting accepted into the schools of their choice.

Since founding DunnWrite, I have helped hundreds of students successfully navigate this complex and nuanced process and start their higher education journey with confidence.
